Scope of Works


• Apex acting as Principal Contractor throughout the duration of the subcontract works inclusive of Section 80 submission, ASB1 & ASB5 notifcations to the HSE and production of RAMS/CDM plan
• Apex worked closely with Network Rail and produced detailed methodology to ensure all necessary protection measures were in place for the demolition in close proximity to Network Rail boundary
• Extensive licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal including textured coatings, insulation board and circa 10,000m2 of asbestos cement roof sheeting
• Soft strip of all buildings, segregation of waste into designated waste streams & removal from site. Full SWMP produced to ensure maximum recyclability.
• Mechanical demolition of concrete & steel frame buildings with use of DX420, DX380 and CAT330 excavators using shear, multi-procesor and grab attachments
• High reach demolition to Mushroom Farm building in North West corner of site
• CAT320 machine working behind the 4 demolition excavators to further segregate demolition arisings
• Network Rail access road running through the midle of the site was kept live throughout the duration of the works using Heras/Chapter 8 fencing and a full time traffic marshall was put in place
• All substructures removed, inclusive of all slabs, foundations and basements
• All hardstandings were pinned and broken out
• All arisings were stockpiled and crushed to certified 6f2 grade for client re-use
• Concrete and brick/block crushed and stockpiled seperately
